Eye Exercises
Eye Exercises is a wellness area for guided vision breaks during screen use. It is available to every signed-in user (students, staff, parents, gamers, and admins). Progress is tracked per exercise module.
Where to find it
- Main sidebar and user menu: Exercises → Eye Exercises.
- URL: /eye-exercises when signed in.
- Focus shift: open the hub and choose Start, or go to /eye-exercises/focus-shift.
- Figure eight: /eye-exercises/figure-eight — slow eye tracking along an on-screen path.
Available modules
- Focus shift — guided near and far focus cycles. A tutorial video on the exercise page shows how to do it. Adjust speed (slower on the left, faster on the right); the on-screen timer shows seconds remaining.
- Figure eight — trace a slow path with your eyes for several timed laps. Pick a shape, set speed, then start. Rainbow reverses at the ends; other shapes can trace both ways.
- Palming break — coming soon.
Reward XP
When your school enables rewards, students earn participation Reward XP after each completed eye exercise session (based on the same Game win XP setting used for games). Events appear in Analytics like other recreation and exercise practice XP.
Progress
Each completed session increments your count for that exercise. Superadmins and admins can review progress in Admin → Management → Teaching → Eye Exercises progress.
Exercises are for wellness breaks during screen use, not medical advice. Stop any exercise if you feel discomfort.
